These terms of use cover this site. Here is the short version.

Detail Price Index is an information and referral service: an estimated price guide plus a directory of local detailers. We are not the service provider. Prices are estimates, not binding quotes, and any agreement is strictly between you and the detailer you hire.

What this site is

Two things live here. One is a price guide for mobile detailing and ceramic coating. The other is a list of local detailers.

We do not wash, coat, polish, or repair cars. We do not hire, train, send out, or insure any detailer named here. When you hire a detailer you found here, the deal is between you and that detailer. We are not part of it, and we take no cut of it.

Prices here are estimates, not offers

Every price on this site is an estimate. As of July 2026, we take a national price range and adjust it for local labor costs. Each one then shows the label Estimated from regional averages and a date. How we source prices shows the math.

An estimate is not a quote. It is not an offer, a bid, or a number anyone must honor. A detailer may charge more or less. Vehicle size, paint condition, add-ons, and your local market all move it.

Only a written quote from the provider, for your vehicle, binds anyone. No figure on this site is a quote at all. Even a verbal number from a detailer is a non-binding quote until it is in writing. The same estimate disclaimer sits next to every price table here. This page spells it out.

No workmanship warranty on listed providers

We do not check, hire, endorse, or vouch for any provider listed here. We give no workmanship warranty. We make no claim about a provider's skill, license, insurance, or record. A listing is not an endorsement. Placement may be paid — see Disclosures.

Check the provider yourself. Ask for proof of insurance and a written quote before work starts. If the work goes wrong, your claim runs to the provider, not to us.

Accuracy and limitation of liability

We work to keep each price fresh and dated. We say where it came from. We do not promise it is right or complete at the hour you read it. Prices in this trade move all the time. Shops change hands, shut down, and move away. Some of what you read here will go stale before we catch it.

This site is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. As far as the law allows, our limitation of liability covers any loss tied to your use of this site. That includes a choice you made on our estimates. It also includes any dispute with a provider over work done, done badly, or never done at all.

Acceptable use

The text, price tables, and method here are ours. Read them, cite them, link to them. Do not scrape, copy in bulk, republish, or resell the price data. Do not point bots at it.

Provider names and logos belong to them. We use them to name a shop, not to claim a tie to one.

What this site does not do today

We say this up front, because it sets what these terms must cover. As of July 2026 this site has no user accounts, no live booking, no quote form, and no way to take payment. We never ask for your name, phone number, or address, and no form on this site collects them. The only way to reach us is to email an address we publish. If you write to one, we hold that email address, use it for the reason you wrote, and sell it to nobody.

When booking or quote requests launch, more terms and a privacy policy will apply. You will see them before you send us anything. Until then there is nothing here to sign up for and nothing to cancel.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do. If you keep using the site after that date, you accept the new version. Send questions about these terms to the contact address on our Disclosures page.
